We picked up our Kocan today after a SEVEN year wait and are celebrating tonight! Our property is pre 74 Turkish Title and 2.1 Donums.

Because of the size of the property we had to get the PTP done in our names plus Sons and Daughters .

Alls well that ends well!

I should think you are a Very Happy Hussar now and contrary to recent posts about Pre 74 Title Deeds it would appear that they are being issued to "foreigners" after all. Has anyone else received their Pre 74 Deeds recently?

I don't think that recent posts have questioned whether deeds can be issued on pre 74 property. More recently, the problem has been the nigh on impossibility of getting PTP for a pre 74 property. Due to the timescale that Happy Hussar mentions, I can only assume that he applied for, and received his PTP many years ago.

HH - Glad to here of your good news. Enjoy your celebration, I believe that you have earned it

Hi Guys

The PTP was issued about a year ago. We then paid all the taxes etc and all paperwork was handed to the Girne Land registery office where it languished for nine months until it was issued this week.

This was our second application for PTP. The first was applied for by Unwins seven years ago. This application was in two names only. Unwins told us that Akin Gurkan was our solicitor and on chasing up the PTP two years later we found that we were not on Gurkans books at all and that they had used some 'fixer' to process our application.

We then had to find and pay for a second solicitor to dig out our file from the PTP Office and start again using four names.

But Hey, this is Cyprus and Unwins are Unwins!

=> Congratulations! But I find it absolutely shocking what you wrote about the much discussed Unwins. This is one of the few times someone on this board gives hard facts about them - I have no reason not to believe you and I suppose you can prove your statement. So now I'm really interested in the Unwin's reaction. In my opinion no decent, reliable business can ignore this.

It's all true Hans and I believe we were not the only ones affected like this.
