£500 inc standard fitting. This includes twin cabling, but you will have to order a special LNB. "Black Ultra High Gain Inverto Twin".

The price is 26,80 EUR (about 24 GBP) and the shipping to the UK is 9,90 EUR.

The consignment will arrive within 72 hours.

Regarding channels, under "Beam" you can get anything with "South" in it, plus or minus a few more/less. http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html

sids1969,

I brought my Sky dish through Iceman, cost me £400 including instalation, I brought my decoder from the UK with a sky card matched to the box, works perfect, missing a few of the chanels we would normaly get in the UK, however still get all the sports , most of the movies, sky news, documentries, ect, so well happy

sids1969,

Forgot to mention I also have a 1.8m dish, don't have Icemans contact details, however if you look at the subjects at the bottom of this page under "recomendations", you should find his contact details.

Dear Texas

Sadly, you will not get BBC1-4 / ITV2/3/4 with a 1.8m - even though they are also on the south beam - but going interactive - using the red button from News 24 will mean you CAN get Formula 1 practice ,qualies, live race and post race forums - including full repeat of the race on a loop..

You'll also get Wimbledon, some Footie, Rugby and the London Olympics.

If you subscribe on any package to SKY , you can manually add ITV 1

Iceman can be found at :

I'm selling a 1.8 m dish........£200 (but you'll have to get someone to fit it for you) I can recommend Cold Clima 0533 834 2731 (Digiturk use him all the time and he's v cheap!)

Let me know if you want my dish and ill get it to you.

Dear Kibris re msg 6

For a prime focus I'd use an Invacom Quad and an adjustable feed horn of the type made in Lima(s)sol - but also supplied by Invacom

8 years on and still the best

Totally nonce question but, why do dishes here have to point in a southerly direction and not north? I've always wondered where the satellite is.... is there a map?

Dear Groucho

This map shows the location of Astra 2 D - the 'bird' that broadcasts BBC and ITV - the 'weak' one .. !

In CY one points the dish just west of south.. in the UK it would be east of south

Hope this helps !

Slightly off topic (sorry) but do you need to register your Sky box to a UK address? I had thought that when we move out, I would just continue to pay my UK subscription by standing and bring my box over but wonder if this work without a UK address. I could register it to my sons address but he already has Sky and not sure if 2 boxes can be registered to the same address - any advice?
