I also have a question about AC units... can someone give me a rough idea of the cost of moving an AC unit from one place to another - I believe wiring is already in place... also... the basic cost of providing and fitting a 9000Btu unit. Hope you don't mind me hijacking Stewart!! Just thought it seemed daft to start a new post! Ta!

Stewart, Look for the teardrop picture on your air conditioning unit remote controller. If there is one, that's the de-humidifier mode. We have Chigo units fitted by our builder and they all have it and I can confirm it definitely works. Ours works best by putting the temperature to the minimum which ensure it stays on, downside is that it makes the room very cold. Don't forget to close all the windows and doors to make sure it works effectively.

Hi spanna. I got Fazo1 to remove a unit from our living room and put it in a bedroom, fitted a larger unit in living room. No problems at all, and working very well. The main thing to do is check the size of the room, then fit a suitable unit, not all units fitted are suitable for the room they're fitted in :-0 Navek

The units I use are Fujicool, which is a Japanese designed unit, made in China. I think it's the best of a bad bunch and although there are cheaper units about, I wouldn't put my name to them.
