Dot and Helen who organised the Coffee Morning at Cafe Park, Karsiyaka this morning were overwhelmed at the response of the glorious weather, the wonderful people, the generous heartedness, the contributions and cannot say a loud enough 'Thank you' to everyone who came, gave and spent!

The sum of 700tl has been added to the kitty to get a home for Ayse and Ali Kemal (one of the first victims of the heavy rains of the season) and the other good news is that a conversation took place the other day with with Fuat Namsoy, the Mayor of Lapta and Eroglu who visited, plus Rami who is currently housing the unfortunate couple, so...... it might happen sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, put the 6th April in yhour diary, for another chance to get together, have some fab coffee and cake and contribute to this wonderful community project of rehousing Ayse and Ali Kemal.

I see that a lot of people have read this, so am bringing it back to the top so that others won't miss it, cos I think that Dot and Helen are fab folk and I want to encourage everyone to continue to support them in this wonderufl community project.
