Please don't criticise what you don't understand mainly for SS1

I apologise for bringing up the Pet fostering site agin for those who are sick of reading about it but I felt I needed to say something.

I have just read some criticism from someone who I can only assume has only ever used this forum and revels in its simplicity.



I would like to believe that the website, forum and blog site are all very easy to use although I can understand that if you have never experienced a forum other than 44 it might involve one or two more selections to get where you want.



I have given an explanation of how to use the sites on the sticky post above and I will create a new board entry on the forum with tips and tricks for being able to enter comments.



Maybe I am over reacting but when someone posts that I should let all know when it is easier I get a little agrivated. If I don't understand something I don't accuse everyone of having the same issue and as the whole point of this is to gain positive interest I would appreciate the same.

Yep Proger1 you are over reacting, some folks get used to one site and feel comfortable using it. Folks will migrate over, whats wrong with some one expressing they dont know something? .....Think you explained , so dont wind yourself up...... lol

I have posted under the sticky thread I think they clicked on DD blog thread and got confused and not on the main forum - I think the two links have confused some thats all - I think if you do run a forum, I know from experience, there are some that you will have to have patience with and go through step by step. B



Because you find it easy on a computer others sometimes don't. Its like riding a bike or driving a car when you can its easy but we all had to learn

I don't care about her, I care that other people will assume it too difficult to use and not try.



The whole point of the site is to give people with pet problems a place to go and we need it to be supported or it will fall apart.



As I tried to point out, criticising something you don't understand doesn't mean you should make it out to be impossible for others.

Both Dizzy and yourself are defending the fact that she didn't understand how to use the site whether it be the site, the forum or the blog.

She doesn't need defending for that, she just needs to practice or at the very least try a little harder before giving up and complaining about it.



My point and even my post title is what gets me. We are trying to get members to join, mainly because it will make things much more interesting on the forum and blog but also because to get some sponsorship we need to have enough members to prove that people to read the site and negativity when we have only got 20 members so far is not going to help.



What I should have done was just asked admin to remove the post but i suppose that would make 2 posts a little confusing now.



Honestly folks, the website is simple and the forum and blog site are just a case of clicking on things, give it a try, Please

If it's any consolation to you, I have just visited the new forum & the website & cannot see an issue with it at all. It's very straightfoward, even for a beginner. I do agree that some people just give up too easily.
