I was delighted to hear from Living magazine that I had won this months prize of a makeover and dinner + 1 night stay at the Tulip Nicosia. But I have a problem, no partner! My ex husband set up with his barmaid a couple of years ago! As a single mum I have a gorgeous 5 year old daughter who would be so excited to be with me on such a special evening as treats are few and far between or I would be very happy to pass this prize onto a friend or family. The man at Living Magazine said no we are not suitable we should not have entered!

Oh dear how very unfortunate and what a silly attitude the magazine has. Did it state anywhere in the magazine that, for example, same sex couples are not permitted to enter the competition? Methinks a letter to Cyprus Today is in order.

It seems like another competition in TRNC where the the 'prize' giver had no intention of awarding the prize. Was there not some confusion over a house won in a prize draw that never materialised some years ago?

oops re msg 5: I think you got me wrong. I was hoping to either take my daughter as we've had a rotten time lately or give the prize to one of my girlfriends and their husbands as they have been very supportive. Anyway this is our luck. I'll not bother Cyprus Today its forgotten now, it just would've been such a lovely treat. The man who called me was really not very nice, he was quite rude and upset me.

Mermaid i think you should challenge them over this, they cant say you have won one minute and then retract it the next and if you get no joy then maybe you should contact Tulip Nicosia and the Cyprus Today.

Thanks Teresa the dinner wouldn't taste the same now anyway so i'll not bother. I felt sorry for myself this morning as I'd love to be able to treat somebody, as I said my daughter or one of my friends and their husband. Not important now. But I certainly and my daughter definitely would have loved the pampering. It wasn't to be.

So if you enter a competition you had better look to see if you are the right "Type " to win it !!



It makes you wonder what sort of person they would like to win the prize !!



Maybe Mr and Mrs 2. 4 children or maybe a super sexy couple with a Porsche .



I don't think i would qualify either !!
