| Heard there was a huge fight at the old Bar 11 (now the Lodge) the other Saturday, windows smashed and people hurt , did anyone experience what happened. It was cypriots apparently. So glad I just looked inside earlier and decided not to stay. |

| Sorry to disappoint you. No-one was hurt and no damage. A minor incident was quickly dealt with by the owner. The Lodge is a very welcoming bar and restaurant and comments like yours are unfair. Check your information before you post. |

| In fariness beeches, the first part of the post was phrased as a question to see if the rumour had substance.
The second sentance was a bit unfair though, admittedly. |

| Hi I was in the Lodge on saturday night. had a great meal, best steak for a while,
Yes there was a scuffle at the end of the night, the culprits were quickly despatched by the owner and his staff.
I was there with my wife and 15 year old daughter and in no way felt threatenned or concerned by the trouble.

| The Lodge - we were there on Sat night - best friendly staff and best food - just a shame you did not stay you missed out on a great night.
There was no fight - a few people tried to leave without paying / the owner knew who they were.
End of story - no need to spread un true rumours!!!! |

| I was there Sat, had a great meal and a good time, entertainment was good, the owner of the Bar kept giving me whiskey on the house, a good mix of locals and Brits enjoying the night together. Give the owner a bit of credit he's invested in the place, the service is good, his prices are more than compedative and he seems a good bloke, if your getting the numbers in there a bound to be a few bad apples. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Lodge to anybody.

So how many other openings & how many fights have you HEARD about ?? Why is it so important for you to enquire ??
In future could people have more tact & consideration when posting about rumours they have just heard and not witnessed. Ilhan the owner is a good friend of mine and great guy who works very hard, The Lodge is a family run restaurant/bar providing great food & hospitality...
SO PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT IN THE FUTURE!! |

| Ilhan the owner of the Lodge was my landlord for a while, he is a proper and decent guy, realistic in business and fair and honest, he deserves to make a success of his venture and i am sure he will.
Please dont use the Bar11 tarred brush, THE LODGE is a fantastic family venue which has had a considerable investment made in it and is well worth a visit,
'Dont knock it until youve tried it'
