My contract phone bill was trebled in June 2008 for no apparent reason,several forum members also had the same experience, my February bill has doubled, am I the only one ?



They sent statments 2 years ago but none since.

It would appear you are not on your own - my wife's Feb. bill seems to have doubled as well - waiting for our monthly on line statement to find out why...?



Did you query your 2008 bill? - if so, did you get any explanation?

when I checked my high January bill they put a local call down as an internal and refunded 11 lire. Always check your bills, dont trust them. This month it seems to have doubled again. AND has anyone signed up for the free 2 days a week calls to turkcell numbers, only I thought it was free but someone said they charging some lire for these free calls?

Several years ago they stopped sending itemised bills by post. They still send them by email though. You just have to ask? I have received my contract bill by text, but not yet received the emailed bill, always received before the payment due date though. My February bill is actually less than January's bill & not especially high. I always check my itemised bill & have never found anything wrong with it. I just make local calls that are tooooo long at times.

I'm on Bizem tariff.

Nothing surprises me with the rogue trading practices of Turkcell however, I don't have any friends to justify much more than a 5TL 'top up' bill per month! Moral being; no friends - no expenditure!

if you go to there website http://www.kktcell.com, change to english, at the top you will see online services, if you dont have one send a text to 8780 with PASSWORD as the message they will send you a super password which you use to access this online site, enter your phone number without the 0533 part ie 8xx xx xx and once your in you can see your bills tarifs and make any changes etc

If you use a pay as you go mobile units are the kontors, the 2 days offer is 35 kontors and they will tell you what days are free, mine is thursday and sunday this week but you have to renew it each week.
