Fascinating, but there has been knowledge for a long time that the ark had been found. And of course there are stories of the flood in many cultures.

What fascinates me after last week-end is that God said he would never again destroy the earth by flood, and sent the rainbow as a sign of the covenant between His people and Himself. Hmmmm. Seeing last week-end, and other events around the world, Iwonder if He has changed His mind! Or was he referring to just one tiny seciton of the earth where Noah's flood occurred?

What owuld Hans the historian atheist say to that?

What a great article , thanks , enjoyed the read. But I thought it was global warming that caused adverse weather conditions.

How could a boat possibly get 6,300 ft up a mountain ??

Given the relatively short space of time I doubt it could be due to a mountain rising 6000ft in 3000 or so years & I cant see water from floods being that deep either or it would have killed everything on earth.

It must have been built that high up in anticipation of water levels rising & it never actually set sail

Ladies & gentlemen. I'll give this thread some thought, but I'm not ready yet thinking about some other Breaking News last week. Why did some god allow the roof of a Mosque in some place in North Africa collapse (killing at least 41 believers) - while they were praying..?! What an interestign god some of you have! I'm so glad he's not on my site!

I have to agree with you DutchCrusader, what kind of god would do such a thing to the people who were worshipping him. Obviously worshipping nothing!!!
