Re Msg 7

The airline should Aer Lingus (not air with an i). This should make it easier to find on line.

You can fly with Turkish Airlines to Dublin and then onwards to Orlando. If you choose the right day(s) to travel you will not need an overnight stay in Dublin on either leg of your journey. Just call to the Aer Lingus transfer desk in the baggage reclaim area, and they will issue you with your onwards boarding card.

The main reason I believe flights to the US from Ireland are cheaper than the UK is the tax differential. Irish tax is a flat rate €10 but UK tax is £20 per 1,000 miles. This make the tax on the Orlando flight about £60, when this is multiplied over a family, it can certainly make a difference.

Good luck with the trip.

We investigated the same for cost and exhaustion factor ( travelling with a child). We opted for BA Larnaca- Heathrow stay over with friends a couple of days then Gatwick Orlando on BA. If you are flexible on dates search BA for the cheapest flights by month. Good luck.
