Can anyone recommend a car hire company who will let you bring their cars over to the North from Larnaca airport. I know you can only get 3rd party insurance at the crossing point.

We hired from Petsa & Sons at Easter. They have an arrangement with a northern insurance firm for 'fully comp' insurance. He meets you at border(we phoned him directly). However, it worked out cheaper to hire from Ibo (in the north) and get him to supply taxi to and from Larnaca in July.

I also think it is easier to get a taxi to pick you up from the north (about £30 each way) then hire a car ( about £20 day).

I booked through that address and I got my car from

fontana@cytanet.com.cy

They possibly have a pool of companies partaking in allowing travel to the north

excellent pick up at start of holiday and no bother with drop off.

I have used them from both Paphos and Larnaca and they were ideal.
