trackrod ends, subject to wear, front suspention joints also tend to wearout, more on n/s,rust under the front carpets near the door sills!! If the car is old some are prone to "jump" out of 2nd gear, worst thing with these cars, is the rust!!if the car has a lot of "underseal" under the carpets, be very wery!!also if you can "jack up " the front and grasp the wheel, one hand top and the other on the bottom and see if the wheel "wobbles " if it dose, then that will work out expensive....hope this helps

rust rust rust

Owned one briefly many moons ago, it came with thousand of pound of bills, but still cost a lot more.

I would not want to drive one in the TRNC (or even the UK with its potholes), they're very low with little ground clearance

Hi I used to be an MOT examiner and one of the worst faults was the king pin and bushes wearing track rod ends are no problem to replace but rust as already said can be a problem especially around spring hangers . first and reverse gears are also prone to to being very noisy and jumping out of gear if the gear selecter shaft is worn but they are a easy car to work on if you have the right tools to repair them . I had a MK 1 austin healy sprite in 1968 and still regret parting with it for a austin mini cooper the mk2 sprite was pratically the same as the MG midget

If it's in the TRNC, will spare parts be a problem?
