Asylum seekers leap off Glasgow high rise flats

Sky news reports three asylum seekers were found dead this morning after leaping from a balcony in a high rise block in Glasgow, these poor folks were being housed in a block which was being readied for demolition and was purposely used for people of refugee status.

Seems the efforts of the British goverment still fall far short of what is expected from economic migrants, suely it would be a better option to asist them in repatration, than see their disapointment in our lack of assistance and generosity, cause them so much distress and what tragicaly appears to be suicide.

Dont believe what I am reading, how sick. Maybe just experiencing the smallest portion of despair that must have preceded these unfortunates suicides, would be an education for some.

girne 29 - no, certainly not in this instance, with its tragic outcome, it doesn't matter. I was not trying to make light of what happened, I was, in fact posing a question. It has been reported that these people were asylum seekers, and, as such, are not 'allowed' to work. I can only imagine just how miserable their lives must have been.



I apologise if I have offended anyone; that was not my intention.



PS It has just been reported by the BBC that they are believed to be Eastern European.

=> Moderator AJ deleted post 2 so Jeannie's post became number 2. I apologise to Jeannie for the wrong impression readers may get from my post - my post was written against Dixie Normus and Matula in post 2 (deleted and rightly so).

P.S. Including this confusion and the intention of post 1 I still think it would have been better to delete the whole thread.

If we did not make it so easy and so rewarding for all of these people they would not be be in theUK to jump off our high rise and also the biulding they jumped of was probably ten times better than they have where they come from
