You once made a post re 2 ladies who collect for charity, do you have a contact number as I have lots kitchenware, books, clothes etc and would like to give it to these 2 ladies.

What I have done is spoken to Dot (of Dot and Helen fame) and she will ring you - maybe even before you read this!

I read out your message to her and she was thrilled.



If she doesn 't get hold of you, I will chase her until she does.



Anyway, just to put you in the picture, it is Dot and Helen of Karsiyaka who have raised money for several things, but currently to rehouse a homeless family and £10,000 is needed to get them a prefab. The council have now (just) torn down their old uninhabitable house (which may well have been G.C way back), and Dot and Helen have £1,200 so far. They are really dedicated and are thrilled when anyone has anything to give.



Thanks so much for bothering to find out how you can help. I hope you are blessed for it! Really!

A bit strange here. We must have been thinking of two different sets of ladies. Dot tells me that when she rang you , you told her the goods had been collected!!!!!

Marie, can you or Dots phone me. I've been trying a number all morning but getting no reply, it maybe a wrong number or indeed someone else! Half hour before Dots called a friend rang and said she would sell all I had and donate to a local charity for me, I trust her to do that. I have however found more goods and will put them in a room till I hear from Dots. Have been here 6 years but am leaving very soon.

Sorruy Doonhamer, only just caught up with the Forum, but have spoken to Dot today and I am so glad the mystery has been solved, and that obviously your generosity of giving stuff is going to benefit several people.



Sorry to hear you are going though. Had enough after 6 years? Hope it is a positive reason you are going. And hope you are going somewhere nice.
