| As of 30th June 2010 all £20 notes with the picture of Elgar on the back will be withdrawn from use and will no longer be acceptable to spend in shops. So get them banked as soon as possible. I can well imagine that there are lots in the TRNC. You will be able to take them into any bank for several months where they will be exchanged for new ones, but you may well have to visit the Bank of England in person to get them exchanged if nowhere will accept them. http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/twentyv/20VWA4-poster.pdf |
