'SOCAR is expected to gasify entire Cyprus

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Appearance of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) as a new gas supplier caused burst of enthusiasm in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

In particular, the regional press imputes large-scale gasification plans in the region to the Company.

For instance, citing SOCAR’s management, the regional press writes of Company’s plans on gasification of the Cyprus Island at the expense of supplies through the Turkish territory. Simultaneously SOCAR allegedly was ready to gasify not only northern (the non-recognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) but also island’s southern part which acceded to the European Union 2004.

The regional press, however, does not indicate the methods of finding consensus between quarrelling parts of the island.'

gates,

I guess the main benefit would be to allow electricity to be generated from gas, rather than to individula homes

On my first parachute jump, pulling all the cords available without enabling the chute to open, I saw a man ascending from the ground and shouted to him in desperation, "What do you know about parachutes?", to which he replied, "Nothing, what do you know about gas ovens?"!

Pie in the sky idea? More like a fireball TRNC idea in the sky!
