Where is the best place to get curtains made and fitted. I am coming over in a few months and would like a few places i can go to straight away and get them sorted.

we got a 2 mtr and 3mtr curtain made in Nicosia in the lanes ,it took 2 hours and they even put the hooks on, it cost 100tl large choice of fabrics .

We also used The Curtain Shop, very good service and the prices were also very good. They could have riped us off if they wanted, us being new comers to the country. All I can say is they did us proud and did what they said they would do, in the time they said they would do it.

Over the years we have had roman blinds, roller blinds, nets and blackout curtains from the Curtain Shop. We have been pleased with both the service, fitting, quality and price. We can only speak of the experiences we have had.

Our experience with the Curtain Shop was mixed, the blinds they made and fitted were excellent but the installation of the curtain poles left much to be desired. They only had one screw in some fittings and put the tie backs in the wrong place twice having been informed where they were to be positioned. They need to be watched at all times to ensure that they are doing the job correctly.

decanddyl: Even watching them won't be any good if, as in our case, the blinds and curtains appeared to be made by someone the day before a bayram! You know the old saying. "Mine was the last car off an assembly line on the Friday before a bank holiday!"

In a word our curtains and blinds are RUBBISH! Would never, as said earlier, use the Curtain Shop again.

We had all of our curtains and blinds made by Mermaid, brilliant service, good prices, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
