Well well well...

A new recipe

Ingredients:

1 Fan - must be powerful

A cup of sh1t - must stink - otherwise you won't get the full effect

Method:

Plug Fan in

Throw sh1t at fan

Stand well back...

Serving suggestion:

Just sit back and enjoy the sight of erstwhile cocky moral high-ground claiming mendacious litigants cacking their pants...

The next 20 months sporting events are lined up and ready on the grid...

I think this information is incorrect. The only mention of 2011 by the ECHR in their judgement is a comment that the IPC had extended their deadline from 21st December 2009 to 21st December 2011. There is nothing in the judgement saying the IPC deadline cannot be extended again. Relevant quote below.

35. Law 67/2005 came into effect on 22 December 2005. This Law provided that all natural and legal persons claiming rights to immovable or movable property might bring a claim before the Immovable Property Commission (“IPC”) until 21 December 2009 subject to a fee of 100 Turkish liras (TRY) for each application (section 4). On 22 October 2009, this deadline was extended by the Parliament of the “TRNC” until 21 December 2011. Under the provisions of the Law, the burden of proof rests upon the applicant who must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that, inter alia, the immovable property was registered in his name on 20 July 1974 (or that he is the legal heir to such a person), that he owne

It's funny but the TRNC is setting the end date for Turkey's IPC..... Those who insist the IPc belongs to Turkey take note... it matters not who thinks Turkey owns it if they alow the TRNC to have executive control and decision making powers over it the IPC is an organ of the TRNC.

Why would they need to extend the end date? The ECHR have told the GCs use it wait for a political solution... why give them an extension?

On the other hand the IPC should set the end date as a watershed for land values. i.e. no increases to reflect increased intrinsic value if you prevaricate... or maybe even a falling percentage after the end date... e.g. apply before end of 2011 or lose 5%... each year until zero.

As for it being unfair to have an end date so soon, they've had long enough, thought they held all the trump cards and now they might not know they are the rightful owners? Balderdash! The families will have been griping about this for 36 years, how can they now not know?

As a goodwill gesture maybe the TRNC will offer an olive branch of an extension... as an ex-gratia offer. Just ot show they can be magnanimous.

Cooper.

Here is the full URL. I've removed it from the frame on the main site so it's a bit more readable.

"The ECHR has even placed a December 2011 deadline on applying for compensation. After this, refugees would have no legal claim to their properties in the north."

I still say they've miss-read the judgement.
