I was speaking to someone who's daughter owned on Turtle Bay, she told me that a reputable UK holiday Co was in negotiations with Turtle Bay to use as a holiday complex.

I heard this story in the UK, I am presuming it is rumour.

Anyone heard anything?

If its a reputable Uk holiday Co then I would sugest they check out the damp problems in the apartments first, thats if they want to stay reputable.

Couple of years ago Hayat were in talks and so was Anatolian Sky for rental apartments to be part of the brochures, but they both fell through.

Yes there has been damp problems due to the floods and severe winter weather, but so has everybody else on the island.

Soakaways and walls have been contructed by the management company and the developer to redirect heavy rainfall to try and resolve water flow problems.

Drainage problems? Only the usual.

would it not have been cheaper to use local people seems such a waste bringing in people from Isreal or did the drains have to be kosher

Trotters, No I am not a owner but have seen the damp. IMO caused by poor construction. In the UK we have more rainfall than Cyprus but we dont have damp problems on new builds. This site has poor insulation or none. To blame the problem on drainage and floods is a poor excuse as the apartments I looked at were top floor. The developer may do a quick bodge with a bit of sealer and coat of paint if your lucky but as soon as we get heavy rain the damp will come back IMO.

None of these problems matter because Turtle Bay is going to become a Butlins resort.
