| Dear all...looking for advice. I inherited a traventine floor and the last owner did not take care of it. It was very dirty and despite cleaning the dashed thing about a million and a half times, I still pick up a lot of dirt everytime I mop.The dirt is very ingrained... I originally thought it was brown marble but it turns out to be a light beige! There is virtually no shine on the surface, there are lots of spillage and water marks which magically disappear when the floor is mopped with water but on drying appear all over again. Please tell me there is a magical something you can apply to floors which will bring the floor back to what it should look like. Also could I steam clean the floor to lift the engrained dirt?? | The Stone Doctor in Lapta makes a fabulous, professional job of cleaning and polishing marble type floors, his phone number is in the Buzz book which I can't find at the moment. Chris |

| Mixie, Yes we have used them and they were brilliant, you get what you pay for, and you get written guarantee for 15 years. The sealant is fab, only need 1/2 a bucket of water to clean an outside travetine terrace, i cant praise them enough. They grind down the top layer of stone and then polish up to a glossier finish then it is sealed using this special sealer. |

| We used a floor steamer with excellent results. They can be bought in UK for about £40. |
