For those of you that are not aware of it there are scorpions in Cyprus.

We had one trying to come in through the front door this morning, needless to say it was squashed. i don't like killing animals however i have read up on these things and if you don't they are likely to get in to get in to your house to try and get out of the cold and they will lay eggs, so one turns in to many.

Last year my dad got stung by a scorpion here. It was a small yellow one, about 2 1/2 inches. He didn't have a bad reaction to it. He accidentally brought it round my house on his shirt without realizing and ended up flicking it on my dining room table! Nice. It ended up squashed.
