change of car ownership

i need to change the registered keeper / owner of a vehicle from my partner to myself. i am told we need to go to Lefkosa but could someone please give me the neccesary address together with directions from Girne. İ would like to go tommorow so a swift response would be greatly appreciatted.

Drive to the fitst big round about (Gonyeli),straight through that one towards central Nicosiam,pass the big hospital on your left,through next roundabout,carry on straight,pass the first lights,at next lights keep to the left as you'd need to go straight again,300-500 yards turn left(first one),first right,about 300 yards you'll find a car park/field on your left,park in there as close as possible to the building just there.Walk to the front of the building,if it says "ARAC KAYIT" on it,you are there.

We had to get a letter from the Muhtar of the seller - take your passports/Id cards with you. Take the letter plus the registration documents and the transfer fee (it was 200TL about 15 months ago) to the tax office.

Arac Kayit Dairesi - is right behind KTHY Head office in Nicosia....its also 250TL



You would need to get an application form from this office n fill it out at a Noter/Muhtar with the person whos seeling the car both with your IDs or passports.



I went only on Monday......so get the form first!!!! Also if you go very early there's less queues
