Does anyone know of websites were we can look at Turkish Pre 74 Villas for sale. I have emailed alot of the NC estate agents requesting Pre 74 but they dont seem to reply with any answers. Coming over 2nd week in July and time is running out for planning

I am saying that an agent might sell them as pre 74 but they may not be so. Pre 74 is hard to find now. A good lawyer will verify their authenticity for you. I haven't bought pre 74 so I don't know the proceedure but I think I read that it would be wise for you to personally go to the land registry office in Lefkosia to check authenticity. Perhaps someone else in the forum could enlighten you.



In any case, the GC's claim that they hold the true land registry for the island not the TRNC

their are ways of quantifying the title. speak to a lawyer in N.Cyp once you find a property you like to be sure.

We purchased pre 74 and didn't so much just have one estate agent as used several and requested that they show us only this title deed. Remax have a site dedicated to pre 74 and Ian Smith identifies such properties on his site. Both were helpful. Be warned you are really limiting your choice and property costs more. If you do a search "property for sale North Cyprus" and work through the diffent estate agents sites you will see that property in certain areas( Ozankoy) are more likely to have pre 74. You will find very little around the new developments at Esentepe, Tatlisu as these are mostly greek TRNC/TMD. Ask for a copy of the title deeds, obviously being pre 74 they should not have the words TRNC anywhere on them. Also write into your contract that if at any stage you find that the title deeds are not pre-74 the sale will no longer be valid and a full refund of any monies paid will be returned. Good Luck and enjoy your stay in North Cyprus it really is a beautiful island.

New Villas International only build on pre 74 turkish title. probably best build and finish in TRNC
