Despite the bad luck experienced this championship Wales finish on a high, even the referee couldn't stop us today. If only we'd had a fair ref against England, Ireland and France it would have been so differentScotland winning is a great result, sorry Liz but was well deserved. To finish off the perfect day France to win well. Just put a £ on the lottery.

Bet Liz is filling up a large one now

Looking forward to getting out to Cyprus in less than two weeks, hope the weather will be good

Scarlets.

What a very disapointing 6 Nations for poor old Wales.

Played 5. Won 2. Points for 113. Points against 117.

Position 4th ( behind ENGLAND !!)

Don't get too drunk boyo !

Yeah, I must say gloating about the team that came higher in the table is a bit daft... but then they are Welsh.

In the end the France- England game was very close and Wilkinson had a glimmer of a chance at the death but only made about 20 yards with the penalty kick and England could not rescue the game but it was mighty close.

Match report from the BBC

France completed their ninth Grand Slam but they were pushed all the way by a much-improved England side in Paris.

A Francois Trinh-Duc drop-goal gave France the lead but England went in front when Ben Foden finished off a fine move to claim his first Test try.

Toby Flood converted but three Morgan Parra penalties gave France a 12-7 half-time lead.

England dominated the second half but could only manage a Jonny Wilkinson penalty and France held on.

Based on the tournament overall France were clearly the best side in the 2010 Six Nations, but they were a pale shadow of the team which powered through the first four matches of the championship.

England had been heavily criticised for a series of sterile displays but they were the more enterprising side at the Stade de France and if they had taken their chances in the second half they could have derailed the French march to glory.

What an enthralling end to another wonderful 6 Nations.

Everybody has said about Wales and England , but what about Scotland!

If the ref had checked his watch at Cardiff it would have been a draw, the Posts denied us at Murrayfield against England, how we lost to Italy is well (less not talked about haha!!). But Brian O'Driscoll said before the game yesterday

Scots are on the verge of something special and are vastly improving'

Next season 3 home games- Wales, Italy and Ireland- think the Bagpipes will be sounding louder next season!!

Hate to say it I think the Welsh will be scrapping with Italy for wooden spoon!

Good God the triumphant Jocks, I would remind our Northern Brethren that it was Ireland lost it rather than than Scotland won it, but as ever gracious in defeat, congratulations.

Why they didn't bring O'Gara on earlier i do not know.

Wales despite a win over a sadly depleted Italy should not rate their chances in the World Cup to highly on that performance.

James Hook scored two very good tries but again there is still very much work to be done.

Now we come to the England/France game, reading the papers this morning Johnston was watching a different game to me.

Sure there were glimpses of individual brilliance, there looked a desire to win, but still there is something lacking, and to me direction of how the game is to be won.

I sincerely hoped that England would get drubbed and it would be the demise of England management but no, that buffoon Johnston gets off the hook and looks like will stay for the WC campaign, well i certainly wont be buying tickets for an England final

Hippo, I think Martin Johnson (who is this Johnston bugger?) has forgotten more about Rugby than most other people knew in the first place.

He is in a difficult period with England with some star players nearing their career end and others in the ascendancy.

When England won the World Cup we were all at the top of our game and fit as a fiddle.

He's found out a lot about the team dynamics and damned near pulled off a surprise against a French team who looked nothing like as impressive as they'd been billed and who scored no points in the second half.

I say he's earned another period of tenure. If not him who would be your pick? I do think Mike Catt is England Rugby Coach material but as a London Irish fan I would say that....

Johnson what is in a name?

Qualifications to coach-nil

Qualifications in man management -nil

Success in game plan direction-nil

Famous for being captain in the WC- but i would say Dallaglio did more and Wilkinson's boot.

I regard Johnson as a bully and a cheat.

Who lost us a clean sweep in the Lions tour before the last in South Africa -Johnson

Who was the only player not to come out and meet the fans, have a drink with them-JohnsonWho was the only player to have a room to himself and wouldn't share -Johnson

Greatest Englishman ever not in the same league as Billy Beaumont , Fran Cotton Dicky Jeeps and a hundred more.

Rob Andrew has to receive as much criticism as him , because he put him there.

You ask for an alternative to Johnson- Richard Hill-Sean Edwards-even Malinder if of course the 'Old farts' wont consider an antipodean.

I suppose that you are good losers because you are now getting used to it. It happens so often!

I was lucky enough to know the great days when they played for boot moneyEdwards, Bennett JPR etc oh not forgetting my man BJ ray gravele etc. Those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end. If you have ever been to cardiff on an international day then you know what I am talking aBOUT. xxxxx

Msg 29 "Guys can't believe you are such bad loosers. Remember you only beat us because of some poor refeering"

Scarlets, and I suppose the refereeing in the France, England game was good was it? Stop being obsessed with thinking the ref is bad everytime you lose, just shows very poor sportsmanship.

I agree that the Scotish team has bags of potential (finding this hard to type being English ) I believe they only lost their first game because they were distracted badly by the awful injury on one of their players. Had that not happened I think it could have been a much different tournament for them.

Guys, chill out it's only a game. The excitement finishes with the referees whistle.

I think I'll join Liz with a drink or two this evening, hope Guidos bar's well stocked when I get there in a couple of weeks

Thought the refere had a good game last night, the only issue I had was Brian Moore's biased commentry

Let's set a date for an evening of reflection on the 6 nations in a couple of weeks

Time for a slurp

Well done the Scarlets very good idea.

This years 6 Nations was again an excellent advert for Northern Hemisphere Rugby. I work with Kiwis and they say they hate watching England with Wilkinson playing as its only 10 man rugby!!

France impressed in all but the last game- was it over confidence or well played England, but anyone who has watched every 6 Nations game will admit the French side on saturday were well below par.

Wales played poorly from what the Principality expected and were shown they do not have the strength in depth and one thumping win does not make a season.

Italians like the French were very lacklustre in the final game and yes Wales deserved to win but were made to look better than they really are.

Irish played well and are starting to show signs of creaking as a great record of a Grand Slam and how many Triple Crowns is coming to an end BOD and POC cant go on forever.

That leaves Scotland, whom I feel after the tournament were the most improved team
