just got back to UK from TRNC after taking over property & trying to furnish it!! Must say got let down on all white goods by Beko on 3 occasions so wouldnt recommend them - went to Zanussi and got the same for less money and delivered same day would definately recommend them. Beds we got from the curtain shop and same thing delivered same day - so for white goods & beds thats where u need to go if your on limited time

I read MarieB's post to say that as Zanussi was cheaper than Beko, then that would be a better place to shop if you wanted to save money as well as time.

I have just bought a fridge and a freezer from Currys both Beko didn't realize until they were delivered they are made in Turkey.

Hi Climacool, I have just done the same. Holiday for furnishing the house which turned out no holiday.

Can't get over the amount of raking that you have to do to find things. Found pillows in Lemar but no quilts. Then found quilts but no mattress protectors.

Shopping back home is a lot more easier!

Next time I promise myself I will relax....after all that was the whole purpose of getting a place...sunshine and relaxation

Hi Mixie - we were quite lucky on that side of things - we sent out all our bedding & curtains etc with a friend am so pleased we did because from what we can see bedsets & curtains are quite expensive there. Still have lots to do but least we can now go out and live quite comfortable. Couldn't have done all that running about if it had been any hotter lol.

its all part of the fun, setting up a new home is never going to be easy and how anyone could think that furnishing and holiday go together i dont know once its all done then it will be a holiday

Mixie, Mattress protectors/pillows/quilts, very good quality from Mermaid Fabrics in Karakum.

Shopping here is just different and when I return to the UK I find shopping a hassle because of the crowds and in many cases unsmiling shop assistants!

If you can't find items when you are here just pop a question on the forum and you will get lots of helpful answers and recommendations.

Hi, my experiences of Beko and Zanussi were exactly the same. Oven & fridge from Zanussi brought and delivered on the same day - washing machine & water cooler from Beko took days of broken promises.
