Went to the Tulip Festival and saw lots of dancing and singing, but no Tulips. Thought we would see fields of them.

Anybody know whereabouts they grow?

If you had looked at your programme and listened to the announcements there were several guided trips to the tulip fields both days led by members of the Turkish Cypriot Guides association (KITREB). They grow in the fields around the village and along the south side of Gecitkoy Dam. Get out there quickly as they are coming to an end.

And there were bike tours as well. You just have time to rush back and take a look before it closes. I intended to go but didn't make it. Hope you enjoyed it. Did I miss anything? Oh well, maybe next year.

The tulip fields are a bit of a disappointment this year. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of tulips but last year the corn was small and the tulips taller... you could see them!. This year, after all the rain, the corn was much taller... result, you could only see the tulips by the path. Still the festival was good fun but, unfortunately, I turned up in time to see the Line Dancers.
