JohnnyLee is talking about Press Teknik 100 yds from Starling Supermarket that used to be Fresko.

120 TL for a new one fitted sounds cheap though.

No, plus fitting! Cost me 200TL all in as an emergency job just to get a water supply! Then the plumber committed suicide two days later! Not too sure of the moral of that story!

Paid 123 TL for a 1 HP pump at Paralik in Nicosia. Fitted this afternoon and working perfectly. I wonder when Mrs Vince will realise what a good catch I was/am

you get what you pay for... The cheaper the pump the more times you are going to fix or replace it... go for the best you can afford... Buy Italian and not Far eastern makes... And yes most of the time they can be repaired...

Go South and buy a decent (Danish) Grundfoss pump - it'll last 10+, minimum, years!

Plug any pump into a (good quality) voltage surge protector; failure to do so is liable render any pump 'kaput' from a minute of turning it on to a fortnight, as I found out to my cost when we firstly came here!

Apologies in advance for asking a girly question but do the prices quoted on here include the press controller thingy? If I just wanted to buy a press controller what price should I expect to pay?

If you mean the Hydrofor on top of the pump which looks like a bell with a square control unit, then the answere is no. It does not come with this part. They are about 80TL from your local Yapi market
