Reading the weekend papers about the problems of the IPC - How can it pay so much cash?



My thoughts on something I not seen here talked about here: The first step must be to nationalize all Turkish Cypriot Land in South and use it to pay compensation by exchanging it for deeds in the North. Talk of a court in the South to handle individual TC claims is a very bad idea. TCs got exchange land, and the whole point of a settlement is to break the concept of individual settlement and recognize the borders and land holdings of today. An important message to the GC cause is to nationalize all the TC land in the South and use it to pay compensation, not recognize individual rights by allowing TC to go to a court in the South. Also, without that move the IPC is going to run into trouble.
