I am very grateful that 121 members had donated so far.

Thank you very much again for supporting Cyprus44.

Total donations reached £1500.



My realistic aim now is to reach 200 donors and raise £2000.

If you wish to donate but having problems with PayPal, you may drop off cash in an envelope to my name at Pacific Petrol Station / Rent A Car.



It's the second petrol station on the right hand side, when driving from the Kyrenia-Lefkosa main roundabout towards Colony Hotel.

I thought that everyone who paid would be entitled to have a say in what goes on; therefore there would be no need for the moderators.

I will be happy to consider feature requests by donors. Some of the budget is going for programming (coding) anyway, so will pass these to our programmer. Nevertheless, when you are donating, you shouldn't expect much things to change. I find your conclusion "no need for the moderators" a bit absurd.

We are back on April 22nd so will drop our contribution off then. Unfortunately haven't got a paypal account, but will only be to pleased to contribute next month. It is a vital means of communication whether in the TRNC or anywhere else in the world. We were all like little lost souls when it was down in February!

Yes, like I wrote in my first msg on this thread, we have reached £1500.



My realistic aim now is to reach 200 donors and raise £2000.



That would still mean I will need to put £3000 from my pocket but hopefully things will be better.

We are not due out until 5 May but hope we can still donate at Pacific or wherever you suggest? I have really enjoyed keeping up with the news this past year in TRNC and UK. Not sure what took me so long to sign up! Maybe it was because you would not accept my yahoo address? However, I am now using one with our telephone provider which we pay for.

Izzet, I still have not got into town to drop some money off, and i am wondering how many others are in the same boat for the Alsancak area. I have had a chat with Alan, the Landlord of the Red Lion in Alsancak and between us we are keen to help. Suggestion ... If it is easier for any members to drop off a sealed envolope with the amount and there name written on it, to the Red Lion which is on the same road that you take to go to Deniz Kizy Hotel in Alsancak, and if he can have your number he will ring you when he has a few for you to collect, or he will even drop it into Town himself. Also he will ask for donations from his regular customers who use Cyp44. Alan can be reached on 0533 8773 402. I think it's a great idea, and if you agree i will drop my envolope there today.
