After receiving free holidays courtesy of RoC, Labour MP Andrew Dismore tables more than 200 questions about Cyprus.

Re : Msg 1,

And another one was Theresa Villiers MP, who also failed to declare her trips to Cyprus.

Her question was:

"Mrs. Villiers: There is a development boom in northern Cyprus, much of which is taking place on land that its owners fled from, as refugees, after the Turkish invasion. Will the Secretary of State strengthen the advice on the Foreign Office website urging British tourists and holidaymakers not to buy property in northern Cyprus that might have been stolen from its Cypriot owners? "

Nothing we didn't know, but at least some of the rats are out in the open.

Will it stop them - shouldn’t think so.

Our "honourable" Members of Parliament can not be trusted to regulate themselves. Yet they arrogantly regulate and legislate our lives.

It's our fault. We don't insist on monitoring and regulating their performance after voting for them. We shouldn't just let them get on with governance. We should insist on oversight of their activities by an independant regulater to ensure probity in politics !

The MP for Chipping Barnet was on the list.

She's a Tory and was a "guest" of the self styled Morphou Municipality.

As was Rudy Vis another Barnet MP. (Labour)

This explains some of the bias by the uk goverment towards the gcs. I used to think that corruption only thrived in distant countries but not any more.

Apparently according to Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight last night, the main reason more Tories were not 'affected' was that one lady Tory who was approached by the fake Lobbying Team smelt a rat, and then arranged for an email to be sent to all other Tories warning them off the scam !

Different story essexgirl (so true to form eh LOL) But at least the Dispatches agents were recognised for what they were. The ex New labour Blairite ministers have their snouts so deeply in the troughs they didn't notice - the pound signs were obliterating their judgement.

He's obviously after cheap ciggies as well!

"The Fire Brigades Union threw its weight behind the early day motion calling on the government to legislate for fire safety in cigarette design, which was tabled today by Andrew Dismore MP."

I sent this sponger carpetbagger an email to his office in Parliament and the auto reply came back saying that because I had not used a post code within his constituency then it might not get a reply. Pigs in a trough.

Someone in UK should look at how many times John Prescott came here and who he stayed with.

I agree. All members of the European Parliament are corrupt (like I have read on this board many times). Therefore it's sooooo good that we still have the undisputed British Parliament, The honourable "Mother of all Parliaments"...

P.S. This is of course an "anti-Brit" post...

In all my years in Australia, I believe I knew of two politicians who were as honest as the day was long. Two.

It doesn't seem to matter in which election in which country you happen to be voting, the result will always see a politician win.

Bottom feeders, almost to a man and woman.
