Just been listening to a debate on talk radio . The gist of it being . Will Wayne Rooney stay at Man u or leave because of his world cup dreams ? . Alex Ferguson seams to be flogging the lad to death and playing him for the full 90 every match . Also Cappelo plays him for 90 in a friendly . After every game Wayne Rooney has to have treatment on swollen ankles and knees can he last out and play in the world cup or will he leave Man u ? Does Fergy (being a Scotsman really care about England and Rooneys world cup dreams ?) Will Wayne go back to his roots and sign for another team ?.

Isnt Darren Gough a dancer. What qualifications does he have to discuss the future of Rooney."Will Wayne go back to his roots and sign for another team" once a blue always a blue.I dont think so Lou.He is at the top of his game now with one of the top teams in Europe.Leaving United didnt do Ronaldo any favours did it,with his team being dumped out of the European cup.I honestly think that Rooney will stay put and hopefully light up the world cup in June,

Paul.

Lou,

The lad has energy to burn i reckon you would have to put him in a straight jacket and tie him down,

I read a piece about this subject last week . Ferguson said he wants to rest Rooney but he pleads with him to play him every minute of every game !! What can you do ? He needs him to play at the moment because he is on fire , but we need him for the World Cup in the summer. If Utd don't win the Premiership and Rooney gets injured ..................then was it worth it ??

Ian Fergie says he wants to rest Rooney , He cant afford to rest him cos he aint got anyone else to replace him. I agree we do need him for the world cup, he is probably one of the best players in the world at this moment. But with his committments at Man u and fergies disrespect for our national team I fear for the lad .

No Corbo, Darren Gough was a cricketer, for Yorkshire and England. Some other minor team too, between his Yorkshire spells.

Now he is a some time pundit and slow time dancer.

He's big strong lad who wants to remain match fit... I'm sure he will get bench time once the matches with other title contenders are over... probably Sunday, 9 May 2010 v Stoke... ;¬)

There's a little Korean fella would argue with the statement "he ain't got anyone else to replace him".

I just hope the lad stays healthy for both club and country. This season has seen him mature into the complete player that can shoot with both feet score with his head tackle back when needed, and more importantly be more level headed during the game,Wayne just needs to channel his energy and he will be fine.I would say that he has to be in the top three when it comes to choosing world class players. If he can keep a lid on his temper ansd not be so easily wound up by fans and opposing players then he will go on to become the best player in the world.I blame Fergie for turning him into where he is now,

Paul.

rooney is young and full of class, Fergie plays the young guns as like mentioned above energy to burn, he just gets better and better, and will soon be no.1 in the world, it makes you wonder what he would have done with Gasccoigne (cant bloody spell)

Rugby union is shite!, league anyday.

Jenkins got an unlucky tackle, he seems keen to make an impact in the game, however he should have done it years ago...its too late now!!, like Davies at widnes did it early...class in both league and union!!!
