| Re: Msg 4, I ate sea urchins in France, Italy and Spain. I have never seen them on the menu in any restaurant in TRNC. Do you know the place where they serve them? |

| I almost collected some last year to eat but thought best to check on the net first, it said some are extremelly toxic!! How do you tell which ones are ok, all the ones I have seen here are black? |

| Re: Msg 8, mia100max, I don't know. I have eaten pinkish-yellowish and purple ( Adriatic coast). Usually locals know exactly which are edible varieties. But I've never seen them anywhere in restaurants here. Does anybody know? |

| actually the thing you eat is the eggs, the orange thing. while collecting, pick the ones that are dark purple, those are the female ones. the ones sitting on the rock or usually male ones - black - the females with the eggs prefer the places more secure like under rocks etc. be careful while picking them, use a knife or screwdriver, turn it upside down, make a crack, wash the inside, the orange eggs will remain on the shell. If you see white gel on the eggs, dont eat them. bon apetit |
