for two years we have planted peach trees and each time they have died - what are we doing wrong?

Looking at our own, are you sure they died? This is fisrst winter since planting ours last march.



Lost all leaves, looking very sorry for self for nearly 3 months. Now in blossom and first leaf buds forming.



Also they do need plenty of liquid refreshment.

How did you prepare the ground? What type of soil is it?



Did you make sure no Cicada grubs were lurking in the ground? They spend seventeen years feeding on the tender roots of your plants if you let them....

Also *'Mole Crickets' will decimate the roots of freshly planted young trees and seedlings.



Or, has the tree succumbed to 'Phytofera' (root rot fungus)?

thanks people for your info - think it will probably be easier to buy peaches from the local supermarket!
