It is with regret that I have to inform all that have shown an interest in sponsoring me for this event along with Linda Roy from Turk bank, that due to circumstances beyond our control that this will now not take place.



I think it would be inappropriate to post on an open forum the reasons that have led to this decision which have not been taken lightly and have caused a lot of heart searching on my behalf.

I am truly sorry for any disappointment that this may cause, not only to members but also to Ismail and his family.



I would like to take this opportunity to sincerley thank Laurence Floyd and the committee of the Children In Need Foundation as well as Mel Fairhurst from The Cyprus Today for all their support and input up until this decision was made along with other's who had offered various levels of help/support.

Judy, we too can guess at the reason you will not be doing the paraglide. Such a shame as all that training, wearing three pairs of socks, getting to the second rung of a step ladder, to get over your fear of heights gone to waste. Seriously we admire that you even contemplated doing it in the first place. We hope to bump into you in June.

It is always good to see people of principle anywhere in world.



I understand your reasons for not suporting this particular "charity" but hope that you will not waste the opportunity to jump off the mountains. It is exhilirating and mind opening so open for charity.

Can I thank the numerous people/friends/businesses who have contacted me via phone and email in the last day or so.



I have been overwhelmed at the messages of support in regards to this matter and thank each and everyone who has 'read between the lines' on this matter and have been understanding in my reasons for not becoming involved in this event.
