Benefit on the Karakum road sell really good quality wooden sunbeds. We got some last year and are really pleased with them. Ignore the condition of the one[s] outside as they are not a good advertisement for his sunbeds. He has brand new stock inside. Cannot remember how much we paid but for teak wood we thought they were a fair price. Treat the teak wood every year and they should last a long time.

As the post said above for 10 you should be able to negotiate a good discount.

'Ronnies Furniture' have excellent quality sunbeds in stock, made in their own workshop, including the hard-wearing squabs for them - I know, because I saw the upholstery company's van delivering the squabs on Friday.

Tenakoutou, re Ronnies, can you give Kadir a gentle nudge and ask him if he is ever going to come and change the substandard hinges he fitted to my doors which are now buckling. I've been in the shop and seen his brother about this and been told "no problem we will change". Never mind the swelling of the doors due to poorly applied sealant which you are aware about. We will see.

Steve: Since you asked, I have emailed Kadir re your problem - but, really, apart from going 'off thread' and apart from the fact that I have no business connection with 'Ronnies Furniture', this is nothing to do with me. Also, I'm not aware of 'any poorly applied sealant', or indeed any other problems regarding your doors.

Msg 12. Correct me if I am wrong, but the last time I spoke with you and Kadir was outside of your house.

And correct me if I am wrong, the conversation was regarding the swelling of the doors and them sticking?

And lastly did you, yes you, during the discussion not advise me to use candlewax? Also, you do use every oportunity to advertise their services, so come on Roy, get it right old boy..

Steve: Yes, I remember the conversation, also mentioning trying candlewax, but it was just after all the flooding and many people had the type of problem you have. Indeed, our front door swelled.

Also, did Kadir not recommend that you wait a while for your doors to shrink? Perfectly reasonable advice, I would have thought.

Do I use 'every opportunity' to advertise 'Ronnies Furniture'?

Not EVERY opportunity; but if I see a thread, such as this one, the answer is 'yes' - but please note that two posters had already recommended 'Ronnies' before I did!

As you requested, I have passed your message on to Kadir - but he was in Esentepe until a short while ago. 'Ronnies' have many satisfied customers out that way, in fact, all over TRNC, Steve!

Msg 15, Roy, thanks for passing on the nudge. Have to say your final paragraph really says it all, you just can't resist the plug. Its been 3 weeks since the floods. I don't care if he comes back, but make no mistake if he does'nt, any plugging on this board will be met with suitable consumer attrition. Goodnight and godbless.

Msg 16 continued.... If anybody is thinking of using Ronnies, you are welcome to come and have a look for yourselves, can't be fairer than that...

Further to message 16 and earlier related messages. Ronnies came to my house yesterday and fixed heavier

and more appropriate hinges to the doors. I am very happy with this development. Thanks Kadir (Ronnies).

With regards to the swelling doors, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on this issue and will see how

things go.

Msg 25/professoregit:

According to too many satisfied customers, there never has been any 'doubt' about the quality of 'Ronnies' service and aftercare.

If they had, as you wanted, shaved the doors, you would have a draughty gap.

Kadir fitted the best hinges that were available at the time.

You must realise that variety of such items is limited in TRNC.

Kadir only managed to source the heavier hinges later, but you can rest assured that if these had been available earlier, he would have fitted them - he is not one to 'spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar'.

By the way, having changed your WC no less than FOUR TIMES, according to your workmen, are you finally satisfied?

Msg 25, what's your problem buddy? He came and changed the hinges which were not good enough for the weight of the doors which cost £1380.00. I wasn't too pleased having to chase him over a period of 3 weeks

hence my use of this board which had the desired affect. I can't speak for other people, I think I've seen a couple of people on this thread actually recommend Ronnies and I am sure there are others out there. Shit happens. Again, I am happy with the doors now. We will see what happens regards swelling of doors in the future. As for the toilet fittings, I don't know who you've been talking to, but they were in fact incorrectly fitted the first time and have since been changed the once. Your continued sniping is not doing Ronnies marketing department any good. Just take a look at previous threads of mine which recommend businesses I have used and continue to recommend. Have an early night....

professorgit/Msg 29: 'Shit happens. Again, I am happy with the doors now.'

The sh1t happened when you went 'off thread' and started whingeing and moaning and carrying on.

However, I'm sure everyone is thoroughly relieved to hear that you are happy with the doors now!
