There has been much said about what we are trying to do for Ismail. From correspondence received many good people want to contribute their time and money towards making our charitable event successful.

However, recent discussions and postings have raised concerns about aspects of legality and accountability. Suspicion has crept into the proceedings which if not addressed could 'spoil' our efforts to help Ismail, and has already caused a contributor to reconsider their support

To help co-ordinate our activities and steer through TRNC 'red tape', I have invited a (was retired)Project manager to join us and help put 'Ismails' project' on a more formal and accountable footing. Tony our P.M. has already identified that we need to put our minds at rest re how monies recieved will be handled, disbursed, expensed etc. and thus ensure the general accountability of our fund raising efforts.

Congratulations with your efforts so far, Lee. You are doing really well and an inspiration to all of us. Glad you have made the 'big event' May 2nd ... we are back on April 22nd. Will donate then and offer any help that we can we on the day (or before if necessary). Don't be put off by any negativity. People just have different ideas about how things should be done and it would be impossible to get total agreement, even though everyone agrees on the importance of the issue. See you at the end of April .... and keep your chin up! xx

The Britts seem to be experts at taking a good idea (ie getting an arm for the poor little lad) and over complicating matters...

Seems to me(in my humple opinion, of course) that the bloke from "save the children" is more interested in the prestige of heading the organisation than actually helping the boy out.

Please once again Nick it is not the "bloke" from "save the children" it was put to the committee of "The Children in Need Foundation" and it was a group decision, for reasons we stated in inprevious posts. We do not allow just one person to make this kind of decision. It was put to a committee vote of 10 and everyone voted that in this instance we would not be able to get involved with this case. I think we should just wish Lee good luck with his hard work and endevours and stop backstabbing and making wild accusations. Would just like to add the foundation has saved many childrens lives with supplying lifesaving equipment for the 112 ambulance services, 3 in the first 2 days of getting the equipment to be exact. So please do not knock people who are actually doing something.

Lee, absolutely off topic, but I risk a ban: I've taken the Ismail pics from your photocard and put all pics on a CD for you. Photocard and CD are waiting for you at Guido's.
