Rooney is having an excellent season so far but has got a bit to go to be as good as Ronaldo who was the best in the premiership for 4 seasons

Any half decent striker would be able to score in the Man Utd team.

United will not win anything this season after a performance like that. Rooney may miss the Chelsea game at the weekend and the Bayern return. :(

Bayern deserved the win last night. They were to fast for United and never let them settle on the ball.I really dont know what happened to the midfield of Manchester United,it was just wave after wave of panza movements from the Germans.I am not one for being critical of the greatest ever manager of United, but i have to say Fergie got his tactics completeley wrong last night.United play there best football when they are going forward.Always have and always will.

But last night they just seemed to sit back and let the Germans come on to them.It was so obvious to me what was going to happen. What happened to Park last night, his contribution was zero. How many times did Evra and Fletcher give the ball away.On how many occasions did United string more then three passes together. It was a totally inept performance last night and they got what they deserved, absoluteley nothing.Well done to Bayern Munich, and roll on next Wednesday, and the away goal,

Fergie to blame for Rooney being crocked . You can flog a horse for so long something had to give. Just hope hes out for the rest of the season, But fit for the world cup . Could cost Man U The title. Just hope it does.

Well Paul,

I was sitting in a bar in Bogaz watching the Chelsea V Inter Milan game to which I only got to see the 2nd half. I had to listen to 3 manxs badmouthing Chelsea and cheering on Inter. I have in the past been let this sort of behaviour go....time for a change.

So Im hoping for a blues win on Saturday and could not care less if Utd qualify for the semis. ps you are from Hull.

I also worked in Bavaria in 1979-80 and use to watch Bayern on a regular basis. Beering it up on "The Lilian board Strasse" and the bars in Schwabing.

utd were crap, with or without rooney.if utd cant play without him what chance as england got.he,ll be back for the wastelands game if not before.utd do need to buy,a striker and a midfield general.i think we are good enough to win the title still because there are only three challengers anyway the rest of the teams are mediocre.mufc, chelsea arsenal.the other teams have their good days but also are to inconsistant to take the title from any of these three in my opinion.

I hope Berbatov will come good but his tendency to goal hang, pull out of challenges and wait for goal scoring chances to be handed to him on a plate mark him out as a lazy player... his work rate is just not like Man U's other players and that's why I don't think he is a perfect fit for the Man U team structure...

He is better than he was at Spurs and he does score some great goals but I still can't help feeling he's a bit of a Prima-Donna at heart.

England striker Wayne Rooney could return for Manchester United as early as 17 April for the Premier League clash against Manchester City, but he definitely misses their next three games.

for No 1 Doyen, re message 14 United will not win anything this season, they have already won the League Cup and probably a place in the Champions League next season some other teams would count this has a successful season but I doubt if Fergie will not be pushing for m ore honours even without Rooney.

we can still beat chelsea with or without "the white pele". all will be revealed three o clock tomorrow. chelsea havent been great this season so its not over till its over .

last season the fat spanish waiter kept saying this untill it was mathematically impossible last year , ill throw towell in if we get beat tomorrow and dont win next game.

with regards to juventus wanting the fat spanish waiter , i cant understand this . at liverfool hes had a limited sort of budget ( same as sir alex by the way) at juventus he will have less money and his record at buying 7million ish pound players is dreadfull .

my advice would be stay at the bin dippers and collect your megga salery mr FSW

Chelsea regained control of the title race as victory at Old Trafford saw them leapfrog Manchester United at the Premier League summit.

Didier Drogba's contentious strike - scored from a clearly offside position with 11 minutes remaining - was the decisive moment as Chelsea established a two-point lead at the top of the table.

Drogba only emerged as a late substitute after being left on the bench in favour of Nicolas Anelka, but his priceless strike was a moment of triumph for coach Carlo Ancelotti and perfect reward for his bold tactical move.

Joe Cole's clever flick gave Chelsea a well-merited lead after 20 minutes as Sir Alex Ferguson's champions struggled for creativity with injured inspiration Wayne Rooney watching in frustration from the sidelines.

Drogba's goal looked to have sealed Chelsea's win, but Federico Macheda's scrambled effort - which also had a hint of handball - set up a grandstand finish in which Rooney's replacement Dimitar Berbatov wasted a glorious chance to equalise.

Steve, you clearly misunderstood the reference to mincing... it was to the effect that in the absence of Rooney you would be treated to the spectacle of Berbatov mincing around Old Trafford, trying to look like a team player whilst avoiding any serious tackling.

Sorry I don't like him because I don't think his work rate is good enough. He's a goal hanging lazy git...

Yep, Blues deserved the win. Offside and blatant handball evened itself out.

I thought the Match of the Day team go the game right and Berbatov to be a lazy bo@@ox

chelsea title

utd dont deserve it they were crap against a very poor blackburn side.need a good clear out.starting with berbatov, giggs neville scholes carrick, some of these players have been great players for the club its time to move them on and if we have no money give the kids a chance.with the players still at the club we will still challenge for the title.got to play better next week against the massives, thats the main one for me.
