Many of you in North Cyprus and have lived here for some time have all found your favourite restaurants and obviously the Lapta side and Catalkoy side both sides have some good ones and just for info . purposes those on the Catalkoy side have probably the the best restaurant for steaks is Errols and for one of the best nights out is the Veranda on the Lapta side and all of us can enjoy good food however the latest one to open up(after a revamp from Bar 11) some weeks ago is THE LODGE behind Tempo, Catalkoy.

This is very good and well worth a visit especially on a Friday night with live TC music and TC special food.

And of course down the road is everyones favourite The Happy Valley.

Northern Cyprus is a lot more than "Lapta side" and Catalkoy side". It's like saying England is just Blackpool. Girne is just the Anglicised bit of a much better whole.

I'm always confused by what people call value for money.

Is it a 'blow out' meal or quality food that meets this statement?

I don't mean Guidos by the way.

Lapta side and Catalkoy side, I call it norf London and souf London or is it, East side and West side !! No idea, but they are both very different with different attitudes and people, but I will add I do have friends both sides, just have to stay at willhoops coz it always gets messy west of girne when the sun goes down XX
