As the countdown continues for the presidential elections in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the High Electoral Council has completed electoral rolls. The Council announced the total number of registered voters as 164,072.

The President of the High Electoral Council Nevvar Nolan said that the electoral rolls which remained on display between between 14th and 20th of March – have been finalized after the evaluation of the objections raised and the applications made.

A total of 164,072 eligible voters were registered in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

There are a total of 51,381 in Lefkosa, 43,004 in Gazimagusa, 31,233 in Girne, 21,214 in Guzelyurt and 17,240 in Iskele.

7 candidates will run in the elections which will be held on the 18th of April.

Hans over a hundred views on this, a thread only started today... the one you find sad has had a lot longer to amass the viewing total... don't really see what point you are trying to make.



Oh, I see... we are plebs.. for not taking and interest in the politics... but as we largely have no vote the Electoral Roll doesn't mean much to most of Cy44's members...

As a matter of interest, I think the viewing stats for this site are not what one would assume, members viewing threads... I think they are the wider world googling and getting hits....



So when Joe Bloggs in USA Googles "All you can eat" (greedy bugger) he gets the Cyprus44 thread high on his list and this counts a a view....
