Hope this helps I had this sent to me this morning and just thought that it might be worth a try. Listerine vs Mosquitoes - Worth Trying... To: I was at a deck party awhile back, and the mosquitoes were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And viola! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby. I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works! In fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house. During the summer, I don't leave home without it..... Pass it on.....all your friends will appreciate the information

If it doesn't work and you get bitten, try toothpaste on the bite - just a little dab. It seems to stop the itchiness.

Here's a good one that worked. My partner got a nasty bite on her leg. So she sprayed Mr Muscle Limescale remover on it. The bite went down almost instantly. Although she said it stung like hell for a few seconds. Sounds like we should start a website for other uses of household products.

I have also been told that if you have got a bite then tape a penny to the spot and after a couple of hrs the swelling and stinging subside. This is another one not tried yet

Just back last week and as usual within 24 hours I had lots of bites, before I went though there had been some discussion about remedies, treatments etc. one of which mentioned a chemist in Catalkoy who gave an injection to reduce the affect. Went to have this, it cost 10YTL and can report almost instant relief from ugly swelling and itching. Next time he will be my first stop. Obviously it may not work for everyone but as someone who suffers horrible reactions I can certainly recommend it.
