Ahhh...Love Dusty....saw her when I was a young teenager and she was with the Springfields......best thing she ever did to go it alone though. Also like her more recent stuff.....'What have I done to deserve this?' with the Petshop boys.....but I agree she has to be the greatest soul singer from the UK, even if she DID cause Boots to run out of mascara!! x



I also love her version of Jaques Brul - 'If you go away'.......magic.

Sue, I went down to the Radio Studio yesterday fully intending to play your requests for Stevie Wonder & Smokey Robinson only to find that I had left my Stevie Wonder tracks at home in Alsancak! Message 1 - in UK at present, but many thanks for including Irene & I's "Some of your Loving" and also my favourite "Son of a Preacher Man". Tell you what, I'll put on my "Dusty's Hits" CD on Saturday and pretend I am listening in the sunny warmth of NC. It's bloody freezing again here in UK.
