In every tourist handbook of Cyprus or when learning the history of the island you are always told about the three castles of the northern ridge, Kantara, Buffavento and St. Hilarion. There are many more castles and fortresses in Cyprus, however, some castles, fortresses and at least one Lusignan Royal Palace have been destroyed and are no longer visible. On request of TRNC residents, who were not able to attend the readings in 2008/9, Hans Doeleman, founder of the Medieval Cyprus Fellowship, will tell the fascinating story with some hard facts, many theories and even more speculations about the mysterious "Fourth Fortress" or more precise the "Forgotten Fourth Fortress"...
