England and Nottinghamshire cricketer Graeme Swann has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, Nottinghamshire Cricket Club said.

The off-spinner was stopped as he returned to his home in West Bridgford, Nottingham, early on Friday.

The 31-year-old had reportedly been out celebrating his birthday, which was last week, before he was arrested.

Swann is currently ranked the second best bowler in the world and has just returned from a tour of South Africa.
