I think Yinglis may need the price for insurance this side as in previous posts she has mentioned hiring a car in the South and bringing it across.

As I understand it : Private Cars minimum 1 months insurance 25 euros.

Rental Cars (From South to North) minimum 1 months insurance 35 euros

Y es, the cost is 25 euros a month , as the insurance is valid for a month. The number of time syou use it is up to you. It does mean that going over to collect someone from Larnaca works out expensive if you don't cross over again in hat month.

When the border opened you used to be able to get a day, a week, a month etc, and buying for 6 months or a year worked out cheaper. Now there is no reduction for anything. Shame, cos I cannot afford the occasional trip for that kind of expense, and I am sure there are many others who feel the same.

But I do not know about hire cars. Doesn't that depend on the company as to whether you may or may not take the car over?

Hi

I have used Economy Car Rentals every time I hire a car in the South. As part of their terms and conditions it states that they will allow cars to go across the border but you need to get insurance. I tell them that I will be in both North and South which is true give them my mobile number.
