| Re Msg 4. Richard watch out many airlines (starting with Ryanair who else!) have now imposed a 'one carryon bag only' rule. This bag can be a small purse, sandwich bag, or anything they say. Watch out also for the size dimensions on websites or tickets. These can be applied as rigorously as the weight restrictions. Ryanair will now charge you €30/£30 for any item that exceeds either limit (ie. size and/or weight). Where Ryanair go many others will follow. DD |

| Are Ryanair's toilets fitted with louvre windows, Richard? Remember this ditty? 'When the train is in the station, You must suffer constipation, You are not permitted to use the 'loo'. But if you feel you must pass water, Ring the bell and call the porter, And he will place a basin under you!' Surely this service should be adopted by ALL airlines! |

| Was told last week it was 8kg but only allowed one piece and handbag otherwise they will charge you for the extra package/bag. This may help. |

| Ikea do a fantastic black fold-up canvas trolley bag which only weights about 3 kilo's and is EXACTLY the right dimensions to fit in the bag-sizer, and costs £7. If you are looking to maximise your hand luggage on a Ryan Air flight, say for a weekend break, this is ideal, although if you are travelling with checked-in luggage and wish to maximise your hand luggage, you may think that a simple canvas or plastic bag is preferable as lighter (no wheels or handle).
