A friend of mine used it last year and was very pleased with the result. However, his dog used to be in and out of the pool until he used, after which he was reluctant. Is mans best friend trying to tell us something...so what chemical is Zero clhor and could it be that later on it will cause adverse health problems????

Man's best friend can safely drink the water out of my pool without any side effect that he used to suffer when the pool was chlorinated. Try asking a vet what happens to cats when they drink chlorinated water - the same goes for dogs - and then wonder if the same thing could happen to you. Maybe the dog just did not like clean, pure water? You can always google the make up of Zerochlor for yourself to find out what is in it - then compare it with chlorine. Nope, I don't sell it - but I use it!!!!!

The birds certainly prefer a Zerochlor pool to a chlorine pool Our 2 dogs love drinking the water from the pool and look disgusted at us if we dare to go for a swim in "their drinking bowl"!!! It doesn't affect my asthma and my eczema hasn't flared up either with Zerochlor - bonus.

Re message 6, Firstly I'm not James I was merely asked by James to put this on as he does not have access to a computer. Secondly regarding Zerochlor somehow the point has been missed, if you read what I asked it was " What is Zerochlor and could it have any adverse health problems in the future". Our friends dog SWAM in the pool several times a day when it was chlorinated....he never drank it. We have no axe to grind as we are thinking of using it...so where did the "sour grapes" crap come from!!!!!!

ZeroChlor ZeroChlor is a saturated complex ionic aqueous solution containing copper, silver, zinc, aluminium and gold. The microscopic action of these natural mineral ions with the algae and bacteria are twofold. First, the algae and bacteria in the water are destroyed through a change in their enzyme processes as the ions break down their DNA structures and cell walls. Secondly, all these charged particles floc together so a filter can trap them. The ions maintain a stable 'ZeroChlor' residual in the water until this process uses them up.

Tootie, Just a simple question. You said it worked wonders for your bladder infection - was that a joke or true? I only ask as my dog - a free one from the mountains - had a bladder infection when we got him from drinking the pool water where he could find it, vet said the infection came from drinking chlorinated water. Once we turned over to zerochlor the infection went away and never came back!

Hi Dave, Can Zero Chlor be used in any pool and what is the process of changing from chlorine to Zero -chlor...? Could our current 'pool guy' continue to service our pool if we switched? Hope these aren't totally daft questions!

message 22 spanna. If i was to speak to your pool guy for 20 mins.no problem watsoever. Or maybe he might already know! you do not need to change nothing, everything you have is all the same if useing zerochlor. please ask your pool cleaner to call in the shop and i can explaine all to him. Also just to remind people. we are starting a pool cleaning school very soon. 1 weeks course for people who wish to clean there own pools and are not to sure which knob to turn and where to put what. A good saving actually every year if your looking at making some savings on the ever increasing swimming pool costs.
