Don't know how many are taking part but if you get down to Pegasos restuaraunt you can catch the prize giving at 3pm apparently!

On the cotrary, this year it was well organised, the only hiccup was at half way stop, they had not told the cafe to expect us, but they managed fine. Coffee and bacon butties to start, lovely and they did not run out!! Meal at end was a little disappointing, prefer their curry, but organisation was excellent.

And what about the lot who got lost in Lapta? But what laughs they all had! And I met a man who has been misjudging me for weeks! So, a good day. Mind you, I think the guy had had a few beers, and so maybe he didn't misjudge me at all, but was seeing me with different eyes, but as I said 'You can';t judge a sausage by its skin, nor its contributions to Cyprus 44.

Lost in Lapta!!!! - half the cars ended up in my driveway and the remaining blocking the mountain road for 10 minutes! surely it's not that difficult to follow a map - unless it's a cr_p map of course.

Can I quote you on that one Jetski. I reckon it is a Sunday you will remember for ever! I did hear it was a 'little' chaotic, but I wasn't there - I was at the finishing post waiting for the arrivals. Actually the map was very beautiful, but looking at it, maybe it was easy to miss the correct turning. But equally, maybe that was the 'treasure' - getting it right.

RE msg 11, Jetski: Unfortunately you show that you know nothing at all about car rallies. I know for sure that all participants were provided with a very detailed road book and an indicative map - because no rally is ever held on the basis of only an indicative map. How convenient (and ill-informed!) to leave the detailed road book out of your post!

[CONTINUED FROM MSG 12]

My wife and I drove - as a test to make the Charity Route map - the whole route based on only the draft road book, without a finished map, and didn't end in your garden (thank all higher beings).

Again you are a miserable, malicious and anonymous poster.

Oh come come, DC - Pegasos was full of laughter at the episode, so I hope that Jetski can laugh too. A once in a lifetime event - and you know your map was beautiful! In fact it was a great addition to the CreditWest goody bag everyone got.

I must confess, I could possibly have been a little perturbed at having half a treasure hunt group turning up on my doorstep.

Good grief DC - do you never take anything in the spirit in which it was meant? I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all those people - particularly Claire! - you really do need to get that attitude seen to. And I did see the map - it wasn't clear, and I'm quite happy to be as "ill-informed" as you.

Don't forget that among all the getting lost and endeavouring to answer questions, there are two people who deserve huge thanks - Brian and Corinna for the hours of work to get it all off the ground. Although they say ' The thanks are due to all who took part p- without them there would not have been a race.

AND, thanks for EVERYONE, the great sum of £1620 was raised. Veli was over the moon - so a great day, in spite of some folk getting lost - oh yes, and one got a puncture, and someone got car sick.

It was a great day, most enjoyable, and we're sure Jetski was delighted to see so many friends queuing to get on his driveway! Had he known in advance he would probably have had a stall offering coffee and scones. We know the area well, and do agree that the very sharp hairpin-bends were not so well marked on the inset map, and did cause confusion for some folk, but otherwise, it was an excellent map and attractively produced. Well done to all the organisers and helpers.

I must admit we DID get completely lost in Baspinar/Lapta!!! It was very worrying when we kept meeting fellow 'treasure hunters' coming the other way!! Never mind!! It was a great day out and I know that everyone had a lot of fun!! (and I now know that area intimately, including Jetski's driveway!!!!!!!)

Must say - it was great fun seeing you all in convoy. Trying to explain to my Turkish and TC neighbours what a 'Treasure hunt' is was a different matter. Fortunately I managed to dissuade the Antiquities Department from following you any farther than my driveway. It did cost a few scones and a couple of crates of Efes though. ;0)

RE msg 24, Jetski: (...) The usual suspects. (Yawn) (...)

=> Yeah. I hope for you that you'll never need the equipment "the usual suspects" helped pay for by participating." What a sad, negative man you are, S. from Lapta, habituating Jessic's in Lapta.

Haven't been in Jessic for over a year. And I don't live in Lapta. You're getting better at getting things wrong Hans! Keep it up!

Jetski, you have chosen this public forum several times to make me your personal target. I've been on the receiving end long enough - now it's your turn. If you have anything to tell me, email me. Email for Jetski: hd@allcrusades.com .

P.S. Don't call me Hans - I'm not your friend.

P.P.S. This is my last post in this thread.

Hans,

Have you considered therapy for your anger problems?

Vincent1: Unfortunately I feel obliged to reply to your personal message on this public board. As you know similar personal messages on another TRNC board were deleted yesterday and before. I understand that you are very near being banned there for life. You don't seem to have learned a thing from this. I gave you not one reason for the "personal messages" you regularly write, which I experience as abuse.

You can email me if you think you have an issue with me ( hd@allcrusades.com ). You can contradict anything I write here. But I'm fed up with your "personal messages off topic" and I shall ask Izzet Zorlu and the moderators to take adequate measures to stop you.
