Some or many of the board members may have noticed that, since the moderation institution was founded, only a few of the moderators are still active on this board. AJ, No1Doyen, Simbas and sometimes Paul2555. They have access to our email addresses in order to warn or ban us, reply to questions etc. No problem for me. But what happened to the moderators who are now - for one reason or another - inactive for quite some time? Did they quit their (unpaid) job and lost the ability to use our email addresses? Or do they still have access to this information? Maybe, like ordinary members, they cannot quit as moderators on this board? P.S. I didn't ask this question to C44-boss Izzet, because I think it's a safety question that concerns us all.

In most cases the email address is on show anyway, not just for moderators.

RE msg 3, hattikins: (...) In most cases the email address is on show anyway, not just for moderators. (...) => I don't know if you're right with "In most cases etc" - and I don't feel like checking your statement. It's not the or my point. I think that inactive or retired moderators should not have access to the C44 database anymore. Nothing more, nothing less. Legitimate question in my opinion.

OK Dutch, keep your hair on, perhaps I should have said that a number of email addresses are on show, and you don't need to be a moderator to access them.

Simbas - Thank you for pointing this thread to me. Besides the active forum admins you listed Hans, there is also McSteviet and elko2 who are both active. The other forum admins who no longer practice, their forum admin rights were suspended some time in 2009 when they have been inactive for a few months then. I hope this clarifies your concerns and puts you to a rest. Izzet
