Been back from our holiday in Lapta for a week now, I,ve seen the sun for a couple of days, but still a cool wind blowing. I have had to watch the football, worse luck, but at least it was cosy with the gas fire full on in the lounge to keep my little feet warm and my thick winter cardigan keeping the rest of me snug, did think about putting the heating on but my dearly beloved was not impressed with that idea.

Keeping fit by running up and down the garden fetching the washing in out of the rain, want to give the lawn some weed and feed but it won,t stop raining for long enough for me to do it, oh the joys of a British Summer.

But the thing that really gets me down is the sky, it is so grey all of the time, it varies, light grey, dark grey but still grey, what is it about the British Summer that gets other people down?

The last few days of June, the longest day has gone, so from now onwards the nights will be getting gradualy darker.... I haven't spent one single day in the garden relaxing in the sun this year. Have to co-ordinate grass cutting between the showers, and as for planning a BBQ party, I've given up! Think I'll be organising on a hot pie and pea supper in July for my birthday.

And no doubt you've all got the air conditioners running full bore from 6pm till 6am.

That's really one thing I'm not missing doing this summer.
