We came from Spain and it cost us approx £5,000 so this might give you some idea.

We had a twenty footer from the UK. All packing done by great team at our UK home then container arrived. Great service for £4k. No breakages and all went smoothly. Do not send any new items in original boxes or the customs men will charge you a fortune.

We used Euromed, 1st class service and the help we got at this end from Ibrahim was priceless. He knows his way round the tax laws etc. We pai 2200 gbp 2 years ago. Not sure of phone number but they are based in Enfield I think.

We used Olaytrans, it was a little late but, all was there and nothing was broken it cost £2500 in 2008. I have read on here recently though that some people are experiencing difficulty's with Olaytrans since Senay left, I do not know how true this is what I do know is that Senay was always in contact and she was always the one who organised everything.

We used Jo Valentine when we moved from Abu Dhabi, and we were her first customers from Abu Dhabi to move to TRNC. We tried 4 other companies who couldnt manage the whole journey, they all thought that getting the container to Larnaca was enough!. Jo pulled the whole thing off, we didnt have any breakages, the container which was jam packed was off loaded in 40 minutes with all the boxes being placed in the correct rooms.

I cant fault the operation at all, the cost was low the service excellent, the communications were enough and lots of advice.

When comparing the quotes that people give on this board, you need to ensure that you are comparing like with like. There is a world of difference between having a container delivered to Cyprus & you do the packing yourself & having the complete service including Export packing.

The difference is a bit like hiring a transit in the UK. & moving your own furniture & wrapping breakables in newspaper & having a full packing service done by a local remover. There is just no comparison.
